TRIBUTE POETRY

JIMMY
By Bradley L. Bordelon and Norrie Edgar

The “Dirty Dozen” we were called,
Because we numbered twelve.
If one of us would fall,
“You can do it”, you would yell.

October fifth, nineteen-ninety-six,
What a tragic day.
A suspect did resist,
Doing your duty, he took your life away.

A Sheriff’s Deputy in Jefferson Parish,
Having always done your best.
Deputy James “Jimmy” Clarius,
In Heaven with God, having passed the ultimate test.

Officer Name: James "Jimmy" Clarius
