TRIBUTE POETRY

IN MEMORY OF DAVID HERRING

Although it's been years since you left us here,
our hearts have still gone on.
But bandaides and glue couldn't mend the break
that our hearts felt on that day.
The cracks still remain and your memory lives on
as we face each and every day.
We long for the day that the trumpet will sound
and our feet lift off the floor,
as we walk through heaven's door and see you once more,
then our hearts will be whole evermore.
